Red Velvet

I'm not officially selling Red Velvet cupcakes yet but probably soon. I'm trying to perfect my recipe first! This was by far the best outcome yet. As soon as this cupcake tastes as good as my other cupcakes, I'll add it to your choices. :)

An Open House

A made cupcakes for an open house today. It was such a perfect idea to have mini cupcakes at an open house...people could just walk by and grab one without making a mess or needing a plate.

I made cupcakes for a party yesterday. The theme was pink, green and white and they wanted coconut lime cupcakes. So I just tinted the frosting to fit the theme. They turned out perfect! The one thing I noticed at the party though is that a bunch of people wouldn't eat the cupcakes because they don't like coconut. Well honestly, I don't like coconut either but I love these cupcakes. They don't really have a coconut taste to them. To me they taste like summer in a cupcake. So from one picky eater to another...even if it sounds weird...just try a bite. You never know...it could be your new favorite cupcake!

Birthday Flower Cupcakes

Today was my daughter's 4th birthday and she wanted flower cupcakes. I made her chocolate cupcakes...for the dirt, green colored vanilla frosting for the grass and then I used marshmallows for the flowers. They turned out really cute and the marshmallows added a nice flavor to the cupcakes. For an added touch I used Lemon Head candies to make the center of the flower.

 I think these would be perfect for a baby shower too. For that I would change it to a white cake, white frosting and then pastel flower petals. Pink, blue, green or yellow or any combination.
